Mr. Paramat Chulvanij, Chief Financial Officer of Chow Steel Industry Public Company Limited (CHOW), a major manufacturer and distributor of steel billets and a leading renewable energy business in Thailand through CHOW Energy Limited (a subsidiary of CHOW), revealed that the solar farm project in Japan still has many developments in progress. Most recently, the Saito Project in Miyazaki Prefecture, with a capacity of 2.2 megawatts, has completed construction and has begun commercial operation to supply electricity to Japan.

"CHOW has been developing solar power projects in Japan for a long time. The recent launch of the Saito project, which successfully connected to the grid, underscores our selective approach to high-potential projects with attractive FIT prices. This ensures good returns and stability for shareholders. However, the solar energy market in Thailand is growing rapidly and remains our primary market compared to international markets."

The CFO also mentioned that CHOW is currently expanding its portfolio of solar power projects, including Solar Farms and Solar Rooftops, aiming to reach 250 megawatts of installed capacity this year, with plans to increase to 400 megawatts by 2025. The company continues to focus on sustainable energy development both domestically and internationally, contributing to the transition to a low-carbon economy and providing steady income and cash flow to shareholders. This strategy aims to strengthen CHOW's long-term growth and stability while contributing to environmental sustainability.
